What do Expect and How to Prepare
My goal is to photograph you at your best. For that to happen I want you to feel relaxed, happy and confident. I will go over a few topics here and if you still have further questions feel free to contact me.
We can discuss this on the phone. There are many places in the area we can shoot. Downtown, graffiti, by a river or on top of a building? If you have a specific location in mind that works for me too. I usually shoot one location per hour.
Please bring hand sanitizer to clean hands after touching walls or anything else outside.
The one thing I would recommend is to wear something that is comfortable. I like to shoot about 1 outfit per thirty minutes. For a one hour shoot I would like you to bring four outfits total that we can choose from. If you don’t have that many outfits that is fine, I have shot seniors for one hour in the same outfit. Please iron the clothes so they don’t have wrinkles and bring them on a hangar if that is the only way to keep them wrinkle free. Do not wear a shirt that has a print on it so it doesn’t distract from you unless the printed shirt is what you really want to be photographed in.
You are encouraged to wear/bring accessories such as rings, necklaces, scarfs, hats and sunglasses.
Friend or Family
You are welcome to bring friends or family members to accompany you to the shoot as long as they don’t distract you during the session.
No polish, clear polish or French manicure is preferred. If you are wearing a particular color it may match one outfit but not another.
Do you play sports? Play a musical instrument? Dance? I am happy to include any props that you would like in your photo-shoot. Some ideas can be a basketball, baseball gear (baseball cap, bat and ball), football (game jersey and helmet), musical instrument, track shoes, cheer leader outfit with pom-poms and if you are a gamer then maybe a game controller. You are welcome to bring bubbles or confetti to blow if you like also.
I deliver the images to you by emailing a link that includes a photo gallery where you can view the images and select the ones that you would like to download, once you have selected the images you want I will email you another link with the images you have selected and you will have the ability to download them.
Once you have approved the image you want submitted to your high school for the yearbook I will have it delivered. I will notify you via email that it has been submitted and it is your responsibility to confirm the school has received it.
Hair and makeup artist (HMUA)
Girls, if you are interested in getting a HMUA let me know and I can give you some names. I know HMUA that charge anywhere from $45-$120.
The balance of the senior portraits is due the day of the shoot. Please bring check or cash, thank you!
